It's Never Too Early to Laugh at Techies

There's a great little discussion going on over at Stingtalk.com regarding what type of signs to bring to the Notre Dame game. While I don't begrudge the Jackets their conspicuous signage, I find it sort of funny that a group of them had to get together to come up with cool ideas. I think my junior high school's cheerleaders did the same thing before games. "To Hell With Georgia" seems to have garnered a significant number of votes, which is of course pretty pathetic. I mean, when we play South Carolina, I'm not going to Columbia rocking the "Georgia Tech Cheats: NCAA Approved" poster, or my "Honk If You've Beaten Tech 51-7" bumper sticker. However, giving credit where credit is due, I did find the submission from ArchiTech in Marietta pretty funny:

One side: Lee Corso You're Drunk! Other side: Lee Corso You're Still Drunk!

That ought to get ArchiTech on College Gameday (at least until the Worldwide Leader's jackbooted thugs pull him from the crowd and shoot him in a back alley). Other than that, lots of jokes about (Reggie) balls and (Calvin) johnsons. Maybe Tech will get to play South Carolina in the T.G.I. Friday's Loaded Potato Boat Bowl. The possibilities for dorky phallic-reference posters are truly mindboggling, if understandable.

I know Tech fans, I still don't understand why anyone would want to go to Georgia. . .
